J Boats J/30 Hull #348

Rhapsody is the "old" style J/30 built in 1981. It has the nice teak interior. Most of the systems on Rhapsody have been rebuilt or restored, including a new doger and mast rewire (2006), engine & transmission rebuild, all new hoses (2007), template keel, strip, new barrier coat and VC Offshore bottom, new PYI shaft seal, new lifelines and new TackTick instruments (2007), new engine mounts, new cutlass bearing, new running rigging (2008). During the 2008-9 winter, significant areas on the starboard side below the waterline and the transom were recored due to wet balsa and delamination. Additional 2008-9 winter work refurbished Martec propeller, replaced Wicox-Crittendon head. Winter work for 2009-2010 is mostly cosmetic stuff, but the transmission is getting rebuilt in my basement.
